For all those filmmakers who are thinking about entering our shorts competition [info], here's one that might fit our theme: The Body is a Temple.
In 2008, I helped produce a documentary about bodies. It was when the controversial exhibit, Body Worlds was in town. In the film, we profiled local attorney and speaker Steve Mikita. When Mikita was just 18 months old, he was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease that meant he would never walk.
Steve Mikita has since written a memoir called I Sit All Amazed
