Those of us at RadioWest think our most valuable asset is our ability to tell stories. Yes, we're a radio program, but we wanted to create films as a way of expanding that storytelling strength to another medium. We are hoping to broaden our reach and meet new people along the way.
The idea is to make a space for local filmmakers to produce and share a variety of short films and documentaries. It gives us an opportunity to create stories in another format and tell them in different ways. It also allows us to reach out to the state’s creative community, to find new ideas, and to give the conversations we conduct on the radio another life.
If you’re interested in being part of the project—either collaborating on new ideas or sharing things you’ve already produced, get in touch.
