Katty Mojica came to the United States from Peru in 1984. She didn't speak English and had to figure out how to make a life here. Her skills as a seamstress provided the path.
This film comes from Jade Matkin, a 16-year-old at Cottonwood High School and Katty's granddaughter. Jade also studies at Spy Hop, a Salt Lake City organization that teaches digital arts to young people. This film is part of their REEL STORIES series.
